what is that man smoking, part II
Jacques Chirac, defender of crazed world leaders.
First Saddam and now Mugabe.
Rumors that Chirac has booked a flight to North Korea are unfounded.
For now.

The link works fine for me.
The differences between the UK and France over Zimbabwe (and a number of other issues) have been there for quite a while now and every passing day seems to bring out another great quote from the man rapidly approaching senility.
What really startled me rather than the Mugabe situation was his outburst against the eastern European states who are applying to join the EU that you linked to a couple of days ago. Telling them to "keep quiet" and threatening their entry into the EU as a result of their backing for the US is condescending and insulting to say the least.
Not surprisingly these countries have had a bit to say about the incident and none of them are very happy with the French stance. It's a shocking double standard that the UK, Spain, Portugal and Italy are allowed to hold opposing views to France and Germany, but that no other countries are in Monsieur Chirac's eyes.

Taking a cue from Andrea Harris (who has started a new meme):
Hey Chirac: Shut up, Bitch!
That just keeps getting better and better.
