what's your price for flight?
Do I need to delink James Lileks?
If you read the very last line of today's Bleat, you will see what I mean.
I'm not sure, but that may have been directed towards me. And somehow, I just can't imagine Greedo dancing to Night Ranger anyhow.
I'm thinking of turning Sister Christian into a midi and embedding it in the page.
Motorin'....
Thanks to Andrea for pointing this out so early. I usually don't get to the Bleat until lunchtime.

Thanks to you & Lileks I now have that song stuck in my head...and since I mentioned it to Mike, so does he.
We hate that song.

Chuckling...
I like the song myself. Just tell us if you do embed it, so I can turn on the sound when I drop in to visit.

I will confess something: I used to hate "Sister Christian." But then along came Pearl Jam, and they went and released "Jeremy." One day I was listening to the "Classic Rock" station and "Sister Christian" came on, and I thought to myself: "You know, that song isn't so bad." I also have left Bon Jovi tunes on the radio instead of changing the dial lately.
I still prefer Night Ranger's "Don't Tell Me You Love Me," though.

I saw a twinkle in his eye when he said that.

God, no, Michele. Please, no MIDI of that...that....that thing. Please. I'll do anything you ask to prevent it - anything. Well, except listen to that shudder song.

Well, it wasn't an intentional reference when I wrote it, but then I remembered WHO HAD LAST MADE ME THINK OF THAT SONG, and I thought: hah! Let the cruel gibe stand, then.
But who am I to poke fun at anyone's taste? I still enjoy that hookfest "Working for the Weekend" by Loverboy - which, I believe, is "Sister Christian" played at 4X speed.

Oh God... now for THAT, I am delinking him.
Loveboy. Oh, please... the only thing worse than Loveboy was Brownsville Station's "Smokin' in the Boys Room."
I HATED that song.

Andrea, I'm afraid this means you're getting old.
At least, this was my diagnosis when I started changing the station when newer songs came on, "Oh, the noise they make! Sounds like cats being neutered. Oh, good, there's 'Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo'. So much better."

I really wish we could get back to disco so I could bring my polyester leisure suits down from the attic. Stayin' alive...

I... I left "Boom Boom, Out go the Lights" by the Pat Travers Band playing on the car radio the other day.
I feel so ashamed. =D
