heart and soul

What? What do you want me to say? I got nothing. Just like the Yanks.

Johnson gave up 12 hits in six innings. Mr. Groom didn't fare much better. The Mets pitcher scores - from second - on a bunt.

So yesterday morning I was sitting at the Little League field, watching my son's team and I realized that these kids have more heart and soul than the Yanks will ever be able to muster this season.

Used to be that I would watch the Yanks and think that what made them different from other teams is they all had that gritty determination, that heart and soul, that you find every day on the Little League field.

Not anymore. Not this season, not last season. What this team is missing is more than solid pitching. They have no soul.

AMEN! There are guys on this team who feel they just need to show up and then laugh all the way to the bank. The way I see it, this wont change until Boss George is no longer running things.

Couldn't have said it better myself. You'll want to bookmark this subject for October when you're wondering why the Yanks aren't in the playoffs.

And this is why you are the Evil Empire.

Good analysis. Nice to see a Yanks fan who isn't just blindly following.

What do you think caused this loss of soul?
