B.S.

The applause over baseball's toughened steroid policy is bogus. There's nothing to gloat over here. The new policy has a 50-game supsension for a first offense, a 100-game offense for a second offense, and a lifetime ban for a third offense. Maybe 50 isn't so bad for the first go around, but the second offense should net a full-year suspension, and the lifetime ban can be appealed after 2 years. Sorry, folks, but lifetime should be lifetime, not 2 years. Congress is happy. But is the general public, and what business did Congress have sticking its nose in to begin with? Doesn't Congress have more important things to do with its time?
