Queen Night!!!

By Michele

Have at it kids, I'll be around for this one.

Bucky first, doing Fat Bottom Girls. This is a good song choice for him.

Hmm...a little something missing. It's a good match for his voice, but it really is playing out like some guy singing in a bar. Nothing special.

Ace is doing We Will Rock You. NOT a good song choice, buddy. Not gonna work for you.

Oh god. Ace is going home this week. There is NO singing in this song. It's not showing his voice at all. And honestly, I just despise his face. GAH this is horrible. He changed he fucking TUNE.

Ace is going home this week.

Yes, Pickleface is doing Bohemian Raphsody. This is going to hurt me.

GAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

This is really fucking killing me. Jesusholyhellonajumprope.

Distracted by homework....Chris up...Innuendo...great job as always.

I missed McPhee on purpose

Elliot up, I love this song.

Gah. This is one of my favorite Queen songs and I don't think he's pullling it off.

Ok, back from middle school math hell, in time to see Paris doing a great job. I've been down on her lately, but she is singing the hell out of this.

Woo Hoo! Hi Everyone! Queen Rules! Good Bye Pothead!

Posted by: Chris at April 11, 2006 08:04 PM

Hate to admit it but Sucky Bucky isn't all that bad.

Posted by: Faith at April 11, 2006 08:06 PM

Fat Bottomed Girls? This could be interesting. Well, maybe not. I have a feeling we're in for a long night.

Freddy is just too distinct.

Posted by: Chris at April 11, 2006 08:06 PM

I missed ya'll so much. And I return to this Bucky s**t? Could be a long night.

Posted by: CHAD at April 11, 2006 08:07 PM

Not that good though. I think the band was a bit too loud too. Maybe he won't be the worst tonight.

Posted by: Chris at April 11, 2006 08:07 PM

Damn, that actually wasn't bad. Bucky, you surprised the hell out of me. I suppose I'll have to count on Ace and Kellie to f*** it up instead.

*Sigh* Unfortunately, that means one more week of pothead...

Posted by: Samit at April 11, 2006 08:08 PM

Puff puff pass pass

Posted by: Chad at April 11, 2006 08:08 PM

So what's the take on the Mandisa headlines? I got the chance to listen to two hours of interviews yesterday and she seems so misunderstood on it.

Posted by: Chad at April 11, 2006 08:09 PM

I think Mandissa's "Gay attitude" didn't do that much to bounce her. She had 2 bad weeks in a row, wore the worst possible outfit the day before elimination. And let's face it, she wasn't going to win. May have gone earlier, but I really don't think so.

Posted by: Chris at April 11, 2006 08:12 PM

We Will Rock You? This isn't a singing song. It's a yelling song. And he sucks doing it.

Posted by: Chris at April 11, 2006 08:14 PM

Chris, I agree with you 110%. Shocked she went early, but it wasn't her week. Oh my god, Ace is horrendous.

Posted by: Chad at April 11, 2006 08:14 PM

I HATE ACE!!!

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:15 PM

See you in the bottom 3 Ace! Weak. Very Weak.

Posted by: Chris at April 11, 2006 08:15 PM

(Hey y'all!)

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:15 PM

Ace so suckrd.

Posted by: Faith at April 11, 2006 08:15 PM

BTW, Welcome back Chad. Good to see you again. And BETH!!! You Too!

Posted by: Chris at April 11, 2006 08:16 PM

Goodbye, Ace!

Hopefully...

Posted by: Denise at April 11, 2006 08:16 PM

HA! It WAS a mess!

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:16 PM

Ace was meh. Bad song choice.

Posted by: Samit at April 11, 2006 08:16 PM

Beth, do everything in your power to get to Los Angeles and see that show. Sell your soul and get a ticket. It was AMAZING. I cried. No one told me when to run, I missed the starting bell.

Posted by: Chad at April 11, 2006 08:16 PM

OK let's see, I agree with Stacy, Sucky Bucky can't sing. Walk into any Karoke Bar and boom. And Ace...why repeat what others have said?

Posted by: C.Rose at April 11, 2006 08:17 PM

I rock? Dude the only rock in your future is from the stoning when you get lost in the middle east...

Posted by: Chris at April 11, 2006 08:17 PM

Missed last week as I went to see David Gilmour. Top 5 concert of my life.

Posted by: Chad at April 11, 2006 08:17 PM

Last week was just AWFUL, Chris. Country. Ugh.
And Mandisa! I hate AI.

If Acehole doesn't go home this week, I'm going to go postal.

Then again, Pickler is going to do Queen. Ugh.

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:17 PM

Chris! hahahahaaha

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:18 PM

PICK PICKLER everyone! Rhapsody? Good luck sister.

Posted by: Chris at April 11, 2006 08:18 PM

What the Frig is she wearing?? What note is that? Dear god. Dear god. I'm going to start my passover praying a night early.

Posted by: Chad at April 11, 2006 08:18 PM

Just shoot me now.

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:18 PM

"Hi, I'm Lita Pickler Ford! Ain't I cute?"

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:19 PM

Nina Blackwood called and wants her hair back.

Posted by: Chad at April 11, 2006 08:19 PM

WTF.

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:20 PM

Do you realize Fox just gave primetime air to one of the worst performances ever on tv

Posted by: Chad at April 11, 2006 08:20 PM

Oh well, maybe this means Acehole will go home. (Please, God.)

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:20 PM

This was bad. This is going to be a hard week. Still, of the worst, this was the better of the 3.

Chad, you saw Gilmour? Wow. I'll bet that was a great show. I saw Roger Waters a while back (well, 1988) and that was the best I ever saw!

Posted by: Chris at April 11, 2006 08:20 PM

BWAHAHAHAA Chad!

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:21 PM

lol Chad...Nina Blackwood!

Posted by: Denise at April 11, 2006 08:21 PM

Not the freaking act again..everone on the (obcene amount of curses) planet knows what simon tells her every fucking week. I loath her...

Posted by: C.Rose at April 11, 2006 08:21 PM

Shit Chris, I was ignoring the Gilmour comment, out of jealousy. Thanks for the reminder.

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:21 PM

If you're into bittorrenting, there is a bootleg of the show floating around out there. It's not the best quality. I also have some of his stuff from a BBC show a few weeks back. SOund is awesome. Highly recommend.

Posted by: Chad at April 11, 2006 08:22 PM

w00t! Noooo, I nevah do that illegal P2P stuff! Never!
::cough::

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:23 PM

Sorry Beth. I am jealous of Chad too. I'll be on ticketmaster tonight finding out where he's going next. Hopefully I can catch him sometime.

Posted by: Chris at April 11, 2006 08:23 PM

Hey all,

I have to watch tonight on "tape delay" because of family stuff. Curse you, family obligations! Enjoy, and I'm sure I'll have some strong opinions for the elimination show.

(Gotta admit, last week's result sucked a bit of my enthusiasm out of things though....)

Posted by: Jaquandor at April 11, 2006 08:25 PM

I am now sobbing because I am a single mom with no freedom to hop on a plane to LA for the Gilmour show. waaaahhhhh

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:25 PM

Chris and Paris are my only hopes for tonight...

Posted by: C.Rose at April 11, 2006 08:26 PM

Maybe A winner? Please deliver Chris. Please

Posted by: Chris at April 11, 2006 08:26 PM

GAWD, lay off the strobe lights.

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:27 PM

I offered!

I'm bitting my tongue. I'm bitting my tongue. Seizure, siezure
must stop Chris's light show
must stop chris

Posted by: Chad at April 11, 2006 08:27 PM

Meh. Best so far, but meh. Yes, keep on trying Chris...

Posted by: Chris at April 11, 2006 08:27 PM

Yes! Chris f***ing rocked the house!!!!

Posted by: Samit at April 11, 2006 08:28 PM

Good IMO. Now let's hope Paris doesn't * up.

Posted by: C.Rose at April 11, 2006 08:28 PM

Ok Paula. English 1 2 3 go.

Posted by: Chris at April 11, 2006 08:29 PM

Thank you, Simon.

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:29 PM

Simon hit it right on. Chris is great. Not a great choice.

Posted by: Chris at April 11, 2006 08:30 PM

Yes, Beth, thank you Simon.

Posted by: Faith at April 11, 2006 08:30 PM

Chris, I'm with you on this one...Meh.

I don't know, maybe it's because he's a rocker that he consistently makes me go "meh." Like I expect more from someone who rocks. Maybe it was the godawful Creed / Live shit. Maybe it's the band.

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:31 PM

I'm actually dreading Taylor this week, doing Queen. I just don't see it.
And GAWD, Elliot doing Queen? Yeeesshh.

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:33 PM

I think I need my own AI show, where I make them do Danzig and Zeppelin and Pink Floyd and Slayer. :-)

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:34 PM

I still have hopes for Paris. After that Beyonce' song im not sure what to expect from her.

Posted by: C.Rose at April 11, 2006 08:34 PM

She's bouncy

Posted by: Chad at April 11, 2006 08:34 PM

Good song choice. Cool tune. She may pull this off.

Posted by: Chris at April 11, 2006 08:35 PM

What's Katharine doing? C'mon, people, pick songs that millions of Queen fans around the world know by heart

Posted by: Samit at April 11, 2006 08:35 PM

Damn..she's doing good tonight!

Posted by: C.Rose at April 11, 2006 08:36 PM

Meh

Posted by: Chad at April 11, 2006 08:36 PM

Not bad. Pulled it off. Top of the night.

Posted by: Chris at April 11, 2006 08:37 PM

Ian if you're reading, I want to request Katharine. Can someone post the link to his songs? I always forget it.

Posted by: C.Rose at April 11, 2006 08:38 PM

I think she sucks. Period.

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:38 PM

Must stop eating pretzels.

Posted by: Chad at April 11, 2006 08:43 PM

Idol took over his life? How sad.

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:43 PM

Elliot has a good voice for this. This could be good! Love the song.

Posted by: Chris at April 11, 2006 08:44 PM

Elliott has 0 personality.

Posted by: Chad at April 11, 2006 08:44 PM

He's never heard of this song??

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:44 PM

And he was a radio DJ?

Posted by: Chad at April 11, 2006 08:45 PM

Ditto that, Chad.

He's actually not doing badly, though.

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:45 PM

This is the only week I haven't wanted to go punch the TV when he's on.

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:46 PM

yeah, he pulled it off. Good job. Replaces McPhee at the top.

Posted by: Chris at April 11, 2006 08:46 PM

Good performance. FINALLY. It took three weeks for me to like anyone's performance.

Posted by: Chad at April 11, 2006 08:47 PM

Interesting choice for Taylor.

Posted by: C.Rose at April 11, 2006 08:47 PM

Yay. This means Acehole is history, unless Taylor and Paris totally blow it.

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:47 PM

Holy crap, Elliott, that was fantastic!

I have a special connection to "Somebody To Love" because we performed it in my high school choir two separate times. I love it, and I loved Elliott's performance.

Posted by: Samit at April 11, 2006 08:47 PM

YES Great choice! Go Taylor Go!

Posted by: Chris at April 11, 2006 08:47 PM

Not at home yet, west coaster. I love snooping and hearing about the show in advance. I have one thing to say-

Why couldnt Mandisa have stayed just ONE more week? To hear her sing Fat Bottomed Girls would have been amazing...

Posted by: Betty at April 11, 2006 08:47 PM

This could be good.

Posted by: Chad at April 11, 2006 08:48 PM

Oh, of course he's doing this song. Good. Perfect one for him.

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:48 PM

Mandisa said she would have sung the same song Katherine did tonight.

Posted by: Chad at April 11, 2006 08:48 PM

w00t!!11!

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:49 PM

Very good song choice for Taylor - you know he's gonna spazz out, so why not go with it?

Posted by: Ian S. at April 11, 2006 08:49 PM

Fantastic. Really really good. It's all because the performers have a chance to get into the song.

Posted by: Chad at April 11, 2006 08:49 PM

Fly ball, way back. It could be. It Is. GONE. A Home Run. That was awesome. Totally Awesome. WOW!

Posted by: Chris at April 11, 2006 08:49 PM

I agree with Simon? I think that's a first.

Posted by: Chad at April 11, 2006 08:50 PM

Rather, I disagree with Simon. That's a first. I really liked Taylor and can't believe Simon and I don't agree. Am I missing something?

Posted by: Chad at April 11, 2006 08:51 PM

That was fuckin' awesome.

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:51 PM

I know, I always agree with Simon, but not this time. Oh well, he doesn't like the dancing around.

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:52 PM

Amen

Posted by: Chad at April 11, 2006 08:52 PM

No Chad. That was one of the best performances of any performer all season. Would have been perfect if he had not missed the kick on the mic stand twice before getting it.

I feel bad for Paris. Has to follow that? Good luck.

Posted by: Chris at April 11, 2006 08:52 PM

BTW, what I meant was no Chad, you didn't miss anything.

Posted by: Chris at April 11, 2006 08:53 PM

Gothca! I'm watching it again now, it holds up.

Posted by: Chad at April 11, 2006 08:54 PM

Paris is going to be bitchin'

Posted by: C.Rose at April 11, 2006 08:54 PM

Hmmm.

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:56 PM

Tyra Banks wants her extensions back.

Posted by: Chad at April 11, 2006 08:56 PM

Looking amazing tonight. Not bad. Wow. Better than I thought she could do.

Posted by: Chris at April 11, 2006 08:56 PM

Oh Ian, requesting Paris as well!

Posted by: C.Rose at April 11, 2006 08:56 PM

WOW! That was good. Real Good.

Posted by: Chris at April 11, 2006 08:57 PM

The performance was surprisingly good. I hate the belt.

Posted by: Chad at April 11, 2006 08:57 PM

That wasn't as good as I was hoping, but she looks *fantastic* and the total performance helped prop up the vocal.

Posted by: Ian S. at April 11, 2006 08:57 PM

It WAS weird, or something. Like she was in costume, acting.

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:58 PM

Well, maybe I'm biased, but Acehole was most definitely the most heinous tonight. Painful.

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 08:59 PM

Not biased at all, Ace is in the cross-hairs.

Posted by: Chad at April 11, 2006 08:59 PM

Reverse the first 2 and the last 2 and you have the order of winners.

Top 3:

1. Taylor
2. Paris
3. Elliot

Bottom 3.
1. Ace (worst)
2. Pothead
3. Pick Pickler

Going home. Ace Maybe Pothead.

Posted by: Chris at April 11, 2006 09:00 PM

Please, God, make the teenyboppers' phones go dead.

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 09:00 PM

Alright, I missed almost all of the show so I'm gonna watch everyone I missed and then I'll do some grabs. I'm thinking Taylor & Paris so far.

Posted by: Ian S. at April 11, 2006 09:02 PM

My Top 3:
1. Taylor
2. Elliot
3. Chris

Gutter:
1. Ace, obviously, by a mile
2. Pickler
3. Katherine

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 09:02 PM

Time for House. I love House. He rules.

Good night everyone. See you tomorrow.

Posted by: Chris at April 11, 2006 09:02 PM

off to reheat chinese food. AH the bachelor life. Jealous much?

Posted by: Chad at April 11, 2006 09:04 PM

Honestly, I've pretty much quit thinking Ace is going home because of the stupid teenyboppers.

So if not him, I *hope* it's Katherine, but it'll probably be Bucky.

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 09:05 PM

OK, g'night all... see you tomorrow!

Posted by: Beth at April 11, 2006 09:06 PM

Paris rocked tonight, so did Taylor - he was the most entertaining. Bye bye Ace!

Posted by: Greta (Hooah Wife) at April 11, 2006 09:07 PM

Oh, whoever decided to put "House" and "Scrubs" opposite one another should be shot. OK, see you all tomorrow. (I did get to hear the last three tonight -- first time Elliott's made a powerful impression on me either way, and I liked it, and Taylor can do no wrong in my eyes [not even after the "Country Roads" misfire], and I didn't like or dislike Paris -- just kinda there. Now I have to watch the earlier singers.)

See you all tomorrow evening!

Posted by: Jaquandor at April 11, 2006 09:10 PM

NBC has never really treated Scrubs well..too bad it's the last season...but thats off-topic.

Posted by: C.Rose at April 11, 2006 09:16 PM

MP3s are up for Katharine, Taylor, and Paris. Usual place:

http://www.godmonkey.com/AI2006/

Because I'm late tonight I'll leave 'em up on through the results show tomorrow. Due to disk space I had to remove the ones from older weeks, so if you missed one of those email me [terran at godmonkey.com] and I'll send it to you.

Enjoy!

Posted by: Ian S. at April 11, 2006 11:13 PM

I hate to say it, because I love Bucky aka "pothead", but this is my perdiction from 1-8
Taylor
Chris
Paris
Kelli
Elliott
Bucky
Kathrine
Ace
God please let it be Ace

Posted by: buckylover at April 12, 2006 02:38 PM

Has anyone read this? http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1528396/20060411/index.jhtml?headlines=true

Apparently, Bucky's brother got in an accident and, because he had a shitty driving record, called his brother to take the heat for him. Of coures, Bucky took full responsiblity and later, both he and his brother ended up in court. It's an interesting story.

Posted by: Nikki at April 12, 2006 04:29 PM

That is an interesting story. And they're right, it does sound like something out of The Parent Trap II - especially the ending.

Posted by: Tanya at April 12, 2006 04:38 PM
